"Macie czasem tak?" - czyli zamiast wstępu. | "Has this happened to you? - by way of introduction

 To zdarza się chyba każdemu.

 Widzicie coś - w realu, w filmie, na rysunku, a może oczami wyobraźni - i nagle łapiecie się na tym, że mamroczecie do siebie. Leci to mniej więcej tak:

 - Muszę to mieć! MUSZĘ! Znaczy, ten tego, no, nie że potrzebuję, ale tak bardzo chcęęę...

 To, co nastąpi potem, zależy od człowieka.

 Część ludzi zadowala się marzeniami.

 Niektórzy zaczynają odkładać pieniądze, aby kupić przedmiot marzeń (a niektórzy, rzecz jasna, odkładać nie muszą).
 Oczywiście, to też  są dobre sposoby.
Ale...

 My mówimy: hmm, a dałybyśmy radę to zrobić?

 Po początkowej euforycznej burzy mózgów ('Łiiii! I tu będę miała takie te, i tu będę miała takie te...') przychodzi czas na długi i żmudny proces tworzenia właściwego. No i na problemy: z miejscem (jak to 'używać wyłącznie w dobrze wentylowanych pomieszczeniach'?!), z czasem (przygotować się do zajęć czy pomalować hełm... decisions, decisions...), z pieniędzmi na materiały, z umiejętnościami...

 Do tego dochodzi jeszcze często nieznajomość materiałów, prowadząca w najlepszym wypadku do tego, że kolejna "ostateczna wersja" jest wyrzucana jako "chybiona próba materiałowa", a w najgorszym do prześmiesznych scen z cyklu "Kotworki kontra chemia i fizyka".

 Naprawdę prześmiesznych. Nie żartuję. W bazie Kotworków powinien wisieć wielki banner z napisem 'Make ALL THE MISTAKES!'. Mimo całego rozsądku i zapobiegliwości jesteśmy spółką z nieograniczoną nieodpowiedzialnością. Serio.

 Ale się nie dajemy. Pędzimy do ostatniej chwili, z językiem na brodzie, stając na głowie, kombinując, licząc, mierząc "na oko"i uprawiając taką karkołomną gimnastykę, jaka jest akurat niezbędna.

 I wreszcie.. jest! Czasem Przecudny Efekt Końcowy +10 do reputacji, czasem Wielka Kupa, a czasem w ogóle niespodzianka.

 Ktoś kiedyś powiedział, że nie liczy się cel, ale droga. Dla nas liczą się obydwa. I dlatego na blogu będziemy dokumentować wszystko: wzloty, upadki, posty "Jak to zrobić dobrze" i te "Jak tego NIE robić". A nawet "Co zrobić, jak pierdyknie".

It can happen to pretty much anyone.
You see something - in real life, in a movie, in a picture, or maybe in your imagination - and suddenly you realize you're muttering under your breath. It goes more or less like this:
 - I MUST have it! I just HAVE TO! I mean... er, well, not like I must 'cause I need, I just waaaaant it sooo much...
What happens next depends on a person.
For some people, dreams are enough.
Others start saving up  to buy the coveted item (and then there are those who don't have to save up at all).
All those are valid ways too.
But...
We say: wait, maybe we could make it ourselves?
After the initial euphoric brainstorm ('Whee! It'll look like this here, and it'll look like this here...') there comes a time for the real creation process. And it's the time for problems too: workspace problems (what do you mean 'Use in well ventilated spaces only'?!). time problems (prepare for classes or paint the helmet... decisions, decisions...), supply problems, skill problems...
And let's not forget the bitch-dont-know-her materials problem, leading in best case scenario to throwing away the next "final version" as a "material  gone wrong", and in worst case scenario to the oh-so-funny scenes from the 'Kotworki VS chemistry & physics' series.
Really funny. I'm not joking. There should be a big-ass banner in Kotworki headquarters, reading 'Make ALL THE MISTAKES!'.Despite all our sound reasoning and forward thinking we are an UNlimited UNliability company. Seriously.
And still we don't give up. Til the very lest moment, we are rushing, breathless, on our hands if our legs fail, thinking, counting, assessing and doing breakneck gymnastics as needed.
And at last... there it it! Sometimes 'it' is a Glorious Final Version, +10 to Reputation, sometime 'it' is just a Big Pile of Shit, and sometimes 'it' 's a total surprise.
Someone somewhere said something about 'not the goal, but the road being important'. But for us, both count equally. And that's why on this blog we will be documenting everything: the ups and downs, 'How to do it right' posts, 'How NOT to do it' posts'... And last but not the least, 'What to do when it all goes FUBAR' posts.
